Abstract

Ignacio Solares short story “El Sitio” presents some important issues for its interpretation. Among this issues, we can highlight specially two of them: space and the tematization about the forced confinement as a way to analyze the whole society. Space, represented by the apartments building, becomes a distressing place that shows the characters anguish. The actions of this characters during, and after the confinement will reflect the social attitude which has a main goal is consumption.
