Abstract

At first glance, it may seem somewhat puzzling to link logic with literature, given that the former is a formal science and the latter is the art of inventing imaginary worlds. However, there have always been echoes and resonances between different fields of culture—secret correspondences and surprising analogies—because ideas know no arbitrary boundaries separating different disciplines and circulate proteanly from one field to another. It is also well known that many ideas, while still in the process of taking shape and before they become theories, find their way into literature.
