Abstract
As is characteristic of Solares’s creative work, in this new collection he presents some stories that have already appeared in previous works, with modifications of varying degrees of significance; furthermore, likely because they hold great personal significance for the author, he published two of them in both his first collection of short stories, El hombre habitado, and in the novel Casas de encantamiento, in the latter case as fragments of the larger narrative; These are: “La mesita del fondo” and “La ciudad perdida,” the first version of which was titled “La ciudad.”
